How stories are made
Wire stories are not written or edited one at a time by a person. Each is drafted by an AI model from the reporting it links to, under the rules published on this site, and its read goes out only after automated checks approve it.
Stories carry no personal byline, because no person writes or edits them one at a time. Each story links here instead, to the one editor who answers for the Wire.

Corrections
When a published story gets something wrong, it is corrected on the story itself: a dated Correction record appears under the headline and says what changed. The editor makes every correction, and each one keeps a private before-and-after record of the change.
