Yes. Pro and Trader both include a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime during the trial and you won't be charged.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. Cancel in one click from your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then reverts to Free.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
Your 3 daily generations reset every 24 hours. You keep full access to every strategy you've already generated, the ideas library, screener, and all analysis tools.
Do I need Pro to backtest?
No. Every tier includes real backtesting on historical market data. Pro extends the backtest window from 1 year to 3 years.
Can AlgoThesis actually place trades?
Only on the Trader plan, and only through your own linked Alpaca brokerage account. AlgoThesis never holds your funds — Alpaca is the broker of record.
