Why no short interest, float or analyst data?
Filters marked “priced” read the last official US close, so they screen only companies that have one. The first three groups need a licensed market-data feed — real-time and intraday prices, float and short-interest reports, analyst estimates, ownership filings — that AlgoThesis does not license. Those are blocked on a vendor contract, not on engineering, and they are not “coming soon”. The last two groups are a different problem and we will not file them under the same excuse: the fourth is data sitting in the EDGAR filings this screener is already built from, waiting on a column in our own table; the fifth is not in EDGAR’s ticker file at all and needs another source. Everything we do have comes from those public-domain filings, plus Databento’s licensed end-of-day closes.
